Positive: we made our own breakfast, and the facilities were very good.
Negative: what didn't work for me was getting an online request to fill out a form on the very day we were on the road going there. If we really must fill in additional forms (which I would discourage, the day of payment should be enough) ask a week ahead, not while people are on the road. Didn't like the traffic hum, but well what can you do?
Summary: Such a beautiful place and wish we had booked at least one more day

Positive: It’s a beautiful location with great views of Mt Kenya, quiet, peaceful in well maintained gardens. I live the rustic-ness of the old barn and the layout too with the outdoor sitting area and large living area.
Negative: The oven turned on but the temperature did not go above 120 degrees Celsius so we could not use it to bake anything which we had planned to do. Also the dial had no markings so without an over thermometer it would be a guess as to the temperature.
Summary: Very good.

Negative: The coordination by the yourhost management as pathetic. On check-in date I was sent the pin location at 8PM only after making furious calls, yet I indicated that I ould check in at 2PM. Also after making payment on booking.com the host brought up additional requirements to pay more money and provided a link to upload documents that I told them very well wasn’t working and asked they orovide alternate means. Pathetic, rigid and confused management.

Positive: Amazing location. Not too far from thr main road. About 20 mins away from Nanyuki town so not to far from the shops in case you need something. It was very quiet except for the drone of the boda bodas passing once in a while. Amazing view of Mt. Kenya from the verandah. We had the whole place to ourselves which was great. Lots of room to walk about as well. Fairly large rooms and the bathrooms were clean and decent.
Negative: The Gas Grill in the oven was not working and 2 of the hobs on the gas cooker were not working eiither leaving only 2 hobs working. There was a TV mentioned and Barbecue equipment but we found none. Floor seems to breaking apart especially in the main bedroon where it's impossible to walk barefoot without hurting yourself if stepping on a stone by mistake especially at night.

Positive: Location, it was true to its name, the property itself, wonderful and green, the staff were fantastic, a very cosy vibe.
Negative: The bathrooms could do with updating, especially the shower taps, in a country where we try to be water conscious it was very difficult to regulate the temperature, causing a lot of water to go wasted.
Summary: A home true to its name yet cosy and conveniently located. Certainly recommend it!
